SRIHER was founded by N.P.V. Ramaswamy Udayar’s Sri Ramachandra Education and Health Trust in the year 1985, September 11. This used to be a medical institute, but as time went by, a lot of courses including Engineering, Management courses, and Medical allied courses were added as well.
It was awarded the status — Deemed to be University in the year 1994 by University Grants Commission (UGC). It is NAAC 2019 certified and awarded as Category-I by UGC rankings of universities.
Objectives Of SRMC Portal
Having ranked in 11th in regard to Medical institutes, 54th in overall in India, 33rd among universities, and 26th in the pharmaceutical institutional rankings, SRIHER strives for the best quality of education and technological research techniques for the students and the teachers exclusively.
Here are some objectives as specified by the IQAC — Internal Quality Assurance Cell(est. 2009):-
Facilitation of technological advancements in learning and education.
Enhancement and preservation of the avant-garde quality of education, research, and healthcare.
With proper facilities and training of the faculties, students who are in the researching field to utilize the state-of-the-art educational technologies and innovative facilities for conducting researches.
Collection and collating of the data from the various departments of SRIHER so as to constitute the university in National Ranking Programmes which is held by non-governmental or governmental agencies to further extend it to international agencies and facilities.
Conducting events and meetings to follow a heuristic approach on decision making, sharing inputs for the betterment of the quality of measurements of the university.
Furthermore, conducting conferences and workshops on quality and current issues that relate to teaching methodologies and research for internalization.

Various workshop programs and activities being documented to improve quality.
Collection of feedback and analysis from various stakeholders to enhance quality in education and institutional methodologies.
Improvement and application of different sets of benchmarks to define parameters of various kinds of academic courses, and administrative activities. A learner-centric/student-centric environment propitious to quality research, education, and advancement of faculties to adopt the coming of age learning, knowledge, and technological participatory research in coordination with Dean education.
Maintenance of institutional databases through the Management Information System or MIS, in other words, to further enhance the institutional quality.

श्री रामचंद्र मेडिकल कॉलेज एंड रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट की स्थापना 1985 में संस्थापक चांसलर, श्री रामास्वामी उदयर ने की थी।
- 1994 में डीम्ड यूनिवर्सिटी का दर्जा प्राप्त किया·
- 2006 में श्री रामचंद्र विश्वविद्यालय बन गया·
- 2018 में, श्री रामचंद्र को यूजीसी द्वारा श्रेणी -1 विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में मान्यता दी गई थी·
- 2020 में, NIRF . द्वारा SRIHER को 28 वें रैंक वाले राष्ट्रीय विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में मान्यता दी गई थी·
- अपने तीसरे साइक्लर मूल्यांकन के दौरान 2024 में NAAC से A++ की शीर्ष श्रेणी प्राप्त की·
- इंडिया टुडे के सर्वेक्षण ने श्रीहर को देश के सर्वश्रेष्ठ निजी स्वास्थ्य विज्ञान विश्वविद्यालय के रूप में मान्यता दी·
- भारतीय चिकित्सा परिषद (एमसीआई) ने श्रीहर को चिकित्सा शिक्षा प्रौद्योगिकी पाठ्यक्रमों के लिए एक नोडल केंद्र के रूप में मान्यता दी है·
- विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठन ने SRMC को व्यावसायिक स्वास्थ्य में अनुसंधान और प्रशिक्षण के लिए WHO सहयोगी केंद्र के रूप में नामित किया है·
- परमाणु ऊर्जा नियामक बोर्ड (एईआरबी) ने कार्मिक विकिरण जोखिम और संबंधित अध्ययनों के मूल्यांकन के लिए बायोडोसिमेट्री प्रयोगशाला को मान्यता दी है।·
- ICMR ने SRIHER पब्लिक हेल्थ को ICMR सेंटर फॉर एडवांस्ड रिसर्च ऑन एयर क्वालिटी, क्लाइमेट एंड हेल्थ के रूप में मान्यता दी है·
श्री रामचंद्र इंजीनियरिंग और प्रौद्योगिकी की स्थापना 2019 में श्रीहर के 14वें संकाय के रूप में हुई थी· डॉ. आर. विजर्घवन विश्वविद्यालय के वर्तमान कुलपति हैं· श्री. वी. आर. वेंकटचलम, कुलाधिपति और श्री. आर.वी. सेनगुट्टीवन, प्रो चांसलर 7000 से अधिक छात्रों के साथ विश्वविद्यालय का नेतृत्व करते हैं !
Criteria For SRMC Application:
Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education and Research(SRIHER), offers admission into Undergraduate/Postgraduate, Management and Ph.D. in Engineering and Medical allied departments.
SRIHER conducts the SRET entrance examination for engineering courses and many other courses as specified above briefly.
Methods Of SRMC Application
These two methods of applying for SRMC portal- offline and online.
- First, the applicant has to go to the web portal of SRMC.
- Then, the applicant has to pay an amount of 1000 INR for the application.
- Third, they have to select their coursework or the course/field they are pursuing.
- Next, they have to select where they are from i.e., hometown.
- Applicants will have to click on the “apply now” bar. Furthermore, adding their personal details like name, email ID, former school name and mark sheet details, PAN ID details, birth certificate, and a password for their account of the said university.
Generally speaking, the candidate or applicant should score a minimum of 50%-60% aggregate of scores in the identified subjects in their 10+2(Higher Secondary courses) to secure their admission in SRIHER to choose their choice of course in the available options.
How to Login into Srmc Web Portal?
- First, the candidate/applicant has to go to the official website of the said university.
- Then, the applicant has to click on the login option, which is on the top-right corner of the webpage.
- After that, they will have to provide their username and password respectively to get access to the SRMC portal.
