What is IPO?

An IPO is a major global financial transaction, which has significantly increased liquidity risk for the global financial market. About SAIL OFS Allotment Status

Steel Authority of India Ltd(Sail) is India’s largest steel producer with an annual capacity of about 21 million tons per annum.

The two-day SAIL OFS(Offer For Sale) which opened on 14th January 2024 i.e on Thursday has received a strong response from non-retail investors. The government’s sale of its 5 percent shareholding in steelmaker SAIL was subscribed 3.6 times on the first day of its opening.

The government is selling 20.65 crore shares or 5% of the total equity of SAIL through the offer for sale. Out of which 18.07 crore have been reserved for non-retail investors while the rest 2.58 crore is reserved for the allocation to retail investors.The Government also has an option to sell an additional 20.65 crore share of SAIL in case of over subscription.

The floor price of Rs.64 per share was set for the OFS for non-retail investors on Thursday. The bidding process for the retail investors will open on Friday. As per the stock exchange data, over 74.74 crore shares were sought by non-retail investors at the close of trading hours on Thursday.

According to the exchange data, the indicative price of bids that came in on Thursday was Rs 65.49. SAIL closed nearly 10 % down on the BSE at Rs 67.25.

Of the 20.65 crore shares on offer,18.07 crore have been allocated to the non-retail investors while the rest 2.58 crore is reserved for the allocation to retail investors.

बाजारों पर उपलब्ध अनंतिम आंकड़ों के अनुसार बोली के अंतिम दिन कुल अंक आकार का ५२२.८९ प्रतिशत शेयर मांगे गए थे ।

सेल ओएफएस सरकार के विनिवेश कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा है जिसके जरिए उसने 31 मार्च, 2024 को समाप्त होने वाले चालू वित्त वर्ष में रिकॉर्ड 21 लाख करोड़ रुपये जुटाने का लक्ष्य रखा है।

इस हफ्ते की शुरुआत में सरकार ने 20.6 करोड़ इक्विटी शेयरों को अतिरिक्त रूप से बेचने के विकल्प के साथ 10 रुपये (बेस ऑफर साइज) के फेस वैल्यू के 20.6 करोड़ शेयरों का प्रस्ताव किया था।

सरकार को 25-26 रुपये प्रति शेयर के ऊपरी मूल्य बैंड पर 1,544 करोड़ रुपये जुटाने की उम्मीद है।
